Strength Training Room-
8-4 Ping pong or Pool in the Pool Room
9:30am New Taiji Quigong class: (Tai Chi) We will continue to practice basic Taiji and Quigong and will learn a new Qigong Form. We will use a Taiji stick which will help you to improve the condition of your whole body– especially for arthritis. Taught by Guo Cheng and her assistants.
8am-2pm Pool(Men) Come check out our terrific pool room. We have cues & expert players who will help you learn.
9:30am: Stretch Exercise Join us for this popular stretching class for standing or chair. It’s easy and fun!
10:30am TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) Join for support with your healthy weight loss, maintenance goals! Register now, some fees– ask the office for details.
12:30pm: Bunco -- For those interested in playing this fun dice game,
we will start up again in September -- Tuesday 9th & 23rd at 12:30
pm. We will teach you if you don't know how to play. Come join us!

handicrafts are welcome: quilters, knitting whittling, painting,
embroidery, crochet, tatting etc. …... Men and women are both welcome to
come exchange ideas, visit, trade patterns, start and finish projects
and just hang out.
11am: Blood Pressure: The fire dept. sends folks over to take blood pressure
6 pm: Pinochle

12:30 BINGO: Come play bingo with us. (Donated prizes welcome!)
Pool hours– The Pool room is available for use at all times and to all members when the center is open. See schedule above for planned pool activities, but come in when you want to use your cue and sharpen your skills! We have cues here at the center for your use, also.
Strength Training Room Open from 8-4 Monday- Friday and Saturdays 9-1. All those who use the gym must be a current member and have taken the Strength Training class offered at the senior centers throughout the county. Please do not use the strength training equipment when the training class is in session M & W 2-4pm. You can use the cardio equipment during that time.
Strength Training Classes - New classes will be held starting September 8th , meeting on Mondays and Wednesdays for 7 weeks, 2 or 3pm. ( The first two weeks will add on a Friday class at the same time on September 12th & 19th). $60 class fee. Preregistration, membership at the Blaine Senior Center and a medical release are required. .You must be a current member to sign up. Membership is $35 a year, from January to December, not prorated. Must be a minimum of 50 years young to join. Come sign up and pay now! The class will fill quickly.
Make up classes may be scheduled...there will be a charge depending on the time you need.
Balance Training & Fall Prevention Monday September 22nd–
Meets 1-2pm Mon & Wed. 4 weeks $30 per person Stu Currier– Instructor Classes stress the need for strong, flexible legs and regularly practiced balance drills. Motivational instruction is provided so that participants acquire the skills necessary to continue on their own after completion of the class. Register and pay at the Blaine Senior Center office in advance.
